My interest in photography began in high school, continued as a military photographer and now into my personal and professional career. Over the years my interest has grown to include photographing people and places, which is why I enjoy working as a  photojournalist.  My work is  an attempt to capture the beauty of a location and  the people  who inhabit it.  For the past few years, my work involved working as a freelance photographer/videographer with a focus on indigenous people of the American Southwest. My goal is to bring people closer, focusing on the present and photographing people in their environment and preserve their way of life. I feel the images I take must tell a fluid and cohesive story, but most importantly, arouse a deeper meaning beyond a beautiful image. Memories are lost if we do not document a story, and photojournalism and documentary photography give me the opportunity to tell  a story, give people a voice and hopefully  someday my work will make a difference.
